Kaizer Chiefs are taking yet another look at young goalkeeper, Brylan Peterson, as they look for a replacement for the departed Reyaad Pieterse.
The Amakhosi are currently undergoing the first part of their preseason preparations in Mpumalanga as Steve Komphela looks to get his team back in shape after the offseason, with their eight new signings also look to gel with their new teammates.
On top of the new signings, as reported by the Siya crew last week, another youngster, Ryan Moon, is also in camp with Chiefs at present ahead of possible move to the Amakhosi, with the teenager believed to have impressed Komphela so far.
Meanwhile, the other new face on camp at present, Peterson, will be hoping for third time lucky as he looks to land a contract with the Glamour Boys, with the 20-year-old having already spent two previous spells at Naturena under the watchful eye of Rainer Dinkelacker.
Chiefs will spend the next week in Mpumalanga before returning to Gauteng to continue their preparations at home.
Teenage ‘Keeper Trying Out At Chiefs
Kaizer Chiefs are taking a look at teenage goalkeeper, Brylan Peterson, who is currently training with their first team alongside Itumeleng Khune, Reyaad Pieterse and Brilliant Khuzwayo.
Peterson is not a complete newcomer to the club having undergone a short trial with them three years ago at the age of 16, and the Siya crew is informed that he has been invited back so his development can be assessed.
The young shot-stopper is currently a second year student at Wits and is looking to secure himself a professional contract with the Amakhosi, though it remains to be seen whether he is deemed good enough or not.
It is unknown how long he will be given to impress at Naturena before a decision is made, however it is thought that the final verdict will be down to goalkeeper coach, Rainer Dinkelacker, and his technical team.
