Orlando Pirates have beaten Kaizer Chiefs to the signature of in-demand Free State Stars defender, Justice Chabalala.
The Siya crew reported earlier today that the 24-year-old could be on the verge of joining the Buccaneers as they continue to bolster their squad for the new season, and it has now been confirmed that the deal has been done.
Chabalala played 22 league games for Ea Lla Koto in the 2015/16 campaign, putting in a number of fine performances and attracting interest from all over the country, with speculation linking him with numbers clubs across the Absa Premiership.
Now his future has been settled after an agreement was reached with his club, with the player penning a three-year deal with Muhsin Ertugral’s side.
Ratshibvumo Mulovhedzi, of Rush Hour Sports Management, confirmed the move to the crew, saying, “It’s true Justice has signed for Orlando Pirates and he will be playing for the club next season. Pirates have always liked the player and have been following his progress.
“Now both clubs, Free State Stars and Pirates have agreed to his transfer. As the player’s agent, I am happy for him. I’d just like to thank the Chairman, Dr. Irvin Khoza, for how he has handled the matter.”
