Orlando Pirates coach Muhsin Ertuğral in trouble again

Sundowns And Pirates To Face Off In Namibia

Mamelodi Sundowns and Orlando Pirates are set to square off in a preseason game in Namibia this week.

Pirates suffered a 2-0 defeat to Kaizer Chiefs in the Carling Black Label Cup on Saturday and coach Muhsin Ertugral has said that it will be good to test his new team against another South African giant in the form of last season’s league champions.

“We have just played against Chiefs and we have seen how we can do,” he told journalists. “It’s a great opportunity to face another good side in Sundowns just a week later.”

The former Black Aces coach is hoping to use the game to prepare for the upcoming season and believes that the game against Sundowns will help his squad, which contains a host of new signings.

“It will be a great match for us as we look you build a strong team for the new season. It’s always good to play such games ahead of the opening of the season,” Ertugral concluded.

“I Don’t Know How Billiat Is Still In SA”

Mamelodi Sundowns legend, Alex Bapela, is surprised that Khama Billiat has not moved on from the PSL champions, given his incredible displays on the pitch.

Billiat was named Player of the Season in last year’s ABSA Premiership, following the campaign that saw him score 12 goals and lift, not only the league title, but also the Telkom Knockout trophy. Following his brilliant performances in the CAF Champions League as of late, Bapela is shocked that the Zimbabwean has not been approached by bigger clubs.

“I don’t know how he (Khama Billiat) is still here in South Africa,” he told Soccer Laduma. “That guy could be playing anywhere in the world. He’s so good, it’s crazy.”

Bapela also remarked that Pitso Mosimane’s team are getting better and better, which he believes will see them overcome Zesco United from Zambia, who look likely to be the club’s semi-final opponents after the group stages come to an end.

“Sundowns are already in the semi-finals and it looks like they are developing, while other teams look to be on a decline,” he continued. “I think they will be able to beat the other team from Zambia (Zesco).”pirates
