Bobby cry: Motaung has received a lot of criticism in recent weeks, with fans claiming that bobby doesn’t buy quality players. And only sign ‘freebies’ for the Naturena based club.
Fans were not entirely happy with the eight signings announced earlier this month . With many claiming that these players aren’t ‘big name’ players and they aren’t ‘quality’.
Well, Bobby must be very happy that four of those players got a run in an annual tournament the CBL cup against Orlando pirates. Lewis Macha, Sibusiso Khumalo, Ramahlwe Mphahlele, and ‘Adebayor’ Letlotlo all came in and did fairly well to help chiefs clinched their 2nd CBL cup ever.
Did Bobby cry
Moreover, the Zambian striker Lewis Macha even scored the second goal that sealed the win for Chiefs. Bobby’s critics must be eating humble pie now as he has proved once again that he has got another gem in Lewis Macha. Bobby is a happy man
No hard feelings after missing out on Vilakazi
Bidvest Wits were only willing to sell ‘for the right price’ and after multiple attempts by both the Amakhosi and Sundowns to sign the Bafana Bafana international, the latter finally won the race with Mogakolodi Ngele and Cuthbert Malajila heading in the opposite direction.
Motaung believes that even if they managed to sign ‘Vila’, there is no guarantees that he would have made the desired impact at the Soweto giants.
People judge you whether you are right or wrong, especially in my department . I will always be judged. But I don’t feel hard done by,” Motaung is quoted as saying on PowerFM : Bobby cry.
Even if I signed Sibusiso Vilakazi and he failed to perform; people would still judge me and say I signed a flop. But People would forget that they made the noise. Some People don’t understand that there’s no guarantee that whoever we sign will be a shining star.
That was said by Kaizer Chiefs’ Motaung
Motaung continued: “Wits would only release Vilakazi on their terms. We did not agree with their terms. They got a good deal at Sundowns and so be it.
Our team wish them luck and we wish ‘Vila’ all the luck at Sundowns. There’s no hard feelings.
Motaung insists that there is no use in ‘crying’ after missing out on the former Clever Boy . As he was never a Chiefs player to start with.
When we wanted Vilakazi; Wits told me straight what ‘Downs offered. Wits were excited and didn’t even want to listen to our offer,” Motaung added.
Vilakazi is gone and we are happy that he has another opportunity at Sundowns . It’s a big club and Pitso has plans for him.
Naturena can’t be crying over ‘Vila’, we have never been crying over it and he was never a Chiefs player. We never cried foul. We have our own players and we must take pride develop our own,” Motaung concluded.
