Mosimane to be sacked : Teko Modise recalls the time

Mosimane to be sacked

Teko Modise recalls the time Mamelodi Sundowns fans wanted Pitso Mosimane to be sacked.

Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder Teko Modise recalls a time at the start of last season  .

When the supporters wanted Pitso Mosimane out of the club and “wanted to kill the coach”.

How times have changed.

After a poor start to the 2015/16 season Sundowns went on to sweep all before them .

En route to a record-breaking Absa Premiership title triumph.

The Brazilians also have one foot in the CAF Champions League semi-finals .

And are looking like a dominant force in Africa, let alone the PSL.

I remember one match when the supporters wanted to kill the coach because they wanted him to go.

Modise recalls in the latest KICK OFF magazine.

I think it was against Ajax at home. That was the turning point for us as we started picking up points   we started getting stronger as a team; individuals started showing up – Khama, Keagan, Castro, Kekana – all the top players that were very, very key to us started showing up.

“We started having a good team and we became stronger and stronger as we played.”
