“There’s unity in the team, and there’s synergy in the team, and everyone is looking forward to the new season.”

The 31-year-old adds that the fighting spirit within the squad is set to make for good competition for places in the starting-line up as the start of the campaign grows nearer.

“It’s going to be difficult in the sense that the starting line-up will not be guaranteed, because of the hard work that the players have been putting in the pre-season,” he added.
