The Ugandan duo of Sula Matovu and Ivan Bukenya are still waiting on Kaizer Chiefs to settle their alleged outstanding salaries.

At the end of last season’s campaign, Amakhosi announced that they would be looking to part ways with 20 of their players, including both Matovu and Bukenya.

The Glamour Boys were set to release players whose contracts had been terminated, met the expiry date and some have been placed on the transfer list.

Initially, Matovu and Bukenya were amongst the players who were placed on the transfer-list. However, the Soweto giants and the players’ camps mutually agreed to a termination of their contracts and subsequently were handed their clearances.

Now, the latest news reaching the Siya crew is that both Matovu and Bukenya, after two months of being released by the club, are still waiting on Chiefs to pay out their respective monies.

“When their contracts were terminated, they were promised that within a week or so their money would be paid out after calculations (had been made), as Matovu had two years and Bukenya had one year still to go on their contracts,” a source told the Siya crew.

“But, as I speak to you, nothing has happened yet. It is two months down the line and it’s not good for the players because that money is due to them. Let’s hope it will be sorted soon,” the source concluded.Kaizer Chiefs is owing
