Bradley Carnell accepts overseas offer, leaves Orlando Pirates, Harold Legodi named new assistant coach

Orlando Pirates chairman Irvin Khoza has revealed that assistant coach Bradley Carnell will be leaving the club.

The Buccaneers boss said at a press conference at Rand Stadium today that Carnell has asked to leave after receiving a coaching offer from abroad.

“Bradley Carnell has asked to be released and the club has agreed to his request,” said Khoza.

Khoza then announced Swedish-born Kjell Jonevret as the new head coach.

The 54-year-old has spent the last five years coaching in Norway and has also coached successfully in the country of his birth.

Harold ‘Jazzy Queen’ Legodi has been confirmed as Jonevret’s new assistant coach. Benson Mhlongo will also remain as one of the assistant coaches.
