South Africa international Bongani Zungu’s first full season in Europe will soon come to an end, and the player has attracted various clubs after his stellar performances for Vitoria Guimaraes. As reported in this week’s issue of Soccer Laduma, Portuguese giants FC Porto are keen on the former Mamelodi Sundowns man.
The supporters have praised Zungu for his work ethic on the international scene, and some pointed out that the player’s former coach, Pitso Mosimane, has been proven wrong after he reportedly said that the 24-year-old was not ready to play abroad.
“And Pitso said Zungu wasn’t ready to go abroad. Zungu proved him wrong!” – Dumanie
“This is good for South African football as we will have experienced players to choose for Bafana.” – MOKOKOTLO
“Which goes to show that he made a good decision by not listening to Pitso Mosimane, who always says players are not ready to go overseas.”
