Nine Players Linked To Sundowns
The transfer window will officially open on Saturday, July 01 and Soccer Laduma takes a look at nine players who have been linked with a move to Mamelodi Sundowns according to Siya sources.
Mosa Lebusa – Sundowns officially approached Ajax Cape Town on the availability of their left back, with the player’s agent, Vasili Barbis, confirming to Soccer Laduma today, June 29, that there is strong interest in his services from both Masandawana and Kaizer Chiefs.
Bhongolethu Jayiya – Jayiya will become a free agent tomorrow on July 01, following the end of his spell with Cape Town City. The Brazilians are believed to be keeping a close eye on the 27-year-old’s situation as he prepares to take the next step of his professional career.
Aubrey Ngoma – Sundowns’ interest in trying to lure Ngoma to the Chlookop-based club has been no secret after City chairman, John Comitis, revealed that Head Coach, Pitso Mosimane, reportedly tapped the player up outside of the transfer window. Sundowns have reportedly still not given up on their interest in Ngoma.
Lebogang Manyama – The Siya crew broke the news of Sundowns’ interest in Manyama in December last year, with the head coach subsequently publicly admitting to wanting the player at his club. As previously revealed on Soccer Laduma, Manyama is still one of Sundowns’ top transfer targets.
Rivaldo Coetzee – Sundowns’ interest for Coetzee has been ongoing for several months, with the latest news being that Masandawana has been engaged in talks with Ajax about a possible transfer of the player.
Brian Onyango – With the possibility of Ajax selling Coetzee to a club abroad rather than their PSL rivals, Sundowns are believed to be targeting Maritzburg United’s Onyango should they be unable to land Coetzee’s signature.
Deolin Mekoa – Sundowns are still locked in talks and negotiations to bring the Maritzburg midfielder to the Chloorkop-based club, with Mekoa being a target for Sundowns for several months.
Jeremy Brockie – SuperSport United previously rebuffed Sundowns’ R12 million offer for Brockie last year, however, the Brazilians are still interested in the striker
Sinethemba Jantjie – Sundowns have upped their interest in the Free State Stars player with a view of adding him to Mosimane’s setup for the 2017/18 campaign.
