Two Key Players Ruled Out For Downs/Chiefs Clash

Mamelodi Sundowns confirmed that two of their key players will miss the game against Kaizer Chiefs.


The Brazilians host Amakhosi in a mouth-watering Absa Premiership clash at Loftus Versfeld Stadium tonight.

Pitso Mosimane and his team will be without the duo of Anthony Laffor and Yanick Zakri for the game.

Downs confirmed on the club’s official website that Laffor and Zakri have been ruled out of the game due to their respective injuries.

The club also gave an update on Rivaldo Coetzee and his recovery from injury.

“Anthony Laffor and Yanick Zakri will sit out Mamelodi Sundowns’ all-important Absa Premiership match against Kaizer Chiefs.

“Laffor has not fully recovered yet from the foot injury he sustained in the match against Free State Stars.

“Zakri is still nursing a high ankle sprain that saw miss a string of important matches for the Brazilians.

“Rivaldo Coetzee is making process with his rehabilitation process on a foot injury,” Downs stated on their website.
