Chiefs returned to winning ways in the Absa Premiership with a 2-1 win over Sundowns at Loftus Versfeld.

Despite ending up on the losing side, Mosimane was pleased with his side’s performance.

“What a thrilling game, unbelievable hey. I think we dominated. We did what we wanted to control the game, especially in the first half,” Mosimane told SuperSport after the game,

“But our dominance was not converted to scoring opportunities, we were not very dangerous in front of the goals, but sometimes you can win without playing well, sometimes you lose and play well. It’s part of football.

“I’m so proud for the team, proud for my players. Eight against ten, no one parks the bus. That’s Sundowns for you, we play football.

“We can have as less as we can on the pitch, but we have to leave our skill on the pitch and I’m proud of the guys, they did very well.”

“I don’t like to lose this match, but if I have to lose this match, not anybody else expect Steve (Komphela). Steve deserves a chance, Steve is my brother. There’s been a lot of pressure on him. We need out local black coaches on the pitch.”
