Kaizer Chiefs are linked with a player from Malawi as they continue their search for a striker to add to the current squad.
With the 2017/18 season approaching the halfway mark, and the January transfer window soon to be opening, Chiefs are set to continue their long search for a new striker.
For some time now, Chiefs have been in search of a striker, with the likes of Julien Ebah, Christ Mbondi, Jonatan Philippe, Darren Lurie, Okiki Afolabi and Abdalla Hussein Kilala having all been at Naturena for assessment.
However, none of these players managed to impress Steve Komphela and his technical team for a contract at the Soweto giants. As reported in the latest Soccer Laduma, Malawian striker Isaac Kaliati’s name has made it onto the list of potential targets for Amakhosi.
Earlier this year, Kaliati joined Cape Town City on a three-year deal. But the player later opted to leave the Mother City club after seeing very little game-time with them.
The player is currently on the books of Be Forward Wanderers in Malawi. How Chiefs can sign Kaliati, should they pursue the player, has been explained further in the Siyagobhoza section in edition 1046 of Soccer Laduma.
