The Brazilians now have one available foreign quota spot on their books for the 2017/18 campaign, after officially parting ways with Leonardo Castro after the player was heavily linked with an exit from the Chloorkop-based club.

As subsequently reported by the Siya crew, Castro’s move away from the Chloorkop-based club now opens up the doors for Gilbert Alvarez, a Bolivian striker who has been admired by Head Coach Pitso Mosimane.

However, Alvarez is not the only foreigner currently being linked to the Tshwane giants, as previously reported by the Siya crew, Sundowns have also shown a keen interest in Uruguayan striker, Gaston Sorino and Mozambican international, Luis Miquissone.

As revealed in this week’s edition of Soccer Laduma, Sundowns have not given up on their interest in Jeremy Brockie and Aubrey Ngoma and could look to approach the two clubs in the upcoming January transfer window.
