Wayne Rooney names Sir Alex Ferguson’s biggest quality as Manchester United boss

Wayne Rooney believes Sir Alex Ferguson’s man-management skills set him apart as the greatest manager in football history. The Everton star spent nine years under the Scot’s guidance at Old Trafford between 2004 to 2013 before the 75-year-old retired after 27 years as United boss. The pair clashed on a number of occasions and Rooney handed in a transfer request towards the end of Ferguson’s reign after falling down the pecking order at the Theatre of Dreams. However, Rooney’s since repaired his relationship with the legendary Scot and he says Ferguson’s man-management skills were his greatest attribute
