Kaizer Chiefs’ Tsepo Masilela could be one of the first of the big names to make their way out of Naturena before next season, with the defender posting a suggestive tweet online.
The 33-year-old defender was given just four games in the Absa Premiership this season as he battled with injury, with the likes of Philani Zulu going on to stake his claim for the left-back/ left wingback role.
Now, with Masilela’s current deal set to expire at the end of next month, there have been suggestions that he may be on the way out, and the player himself added some fuel to the fire with the following tweet on Thursday:
The Siya crew got in contact with the Amakhosi man’s agent to pose the question about a potential move to the United States of America, however, he explained that – as things stand – the former Bafana Bafana international is still contracted at Naturena.
Makaab told the crew, “Look, I’ll be having a final meeting with Kaizer Chiefs next week to make a decision on Tsepo’s future, but he (does) have options for him that we’re looking at.”
Chiefs have already confirmed that there will be big changes made in the off-season prior to them returning on June 25th, but it remains to be seen whether Masilela will be part of those changes at this point in time.
