The 34-year-old parted ways with Amakhosi in August 2018 and subsequently linked up with Turkish Super Lig outfit BB Erzurumspor.

Things have not gone according to plan for the former PSL Footballer of the Year with the relegation-threatened Erzurumspor facing a must-win clash against Kayserispor on the final day of the season.

As such, the inevitable rumours have begun to circulate, with some reports suggesting that Chiefs could look to bring ‘Shabba’ back to Naturena ahead of the 2019/20 Absa Premiership campaign.

However, Tshabalala’s representative, Jazzman Mahlakgane, has moved to dispel such notions.

“You know I’ve been answering that question every day,” Mahlakgane told KickOff. “Even last night it was the only question that people kept asking me.

“This boy is not coming back. He is not coming back. People look at the current Chiefs form and link it to Shabba…no he’s not. He is not coming back.”

He added: “That [getting relegated] doesn’t mean anything to Shabba in terms of coming back. It could be just…we will be looking for a new club.

“I think that’s what confuses people because they are aware that this [Turkish] club is not looking so good.

“He is still contracted for another year. Like I’m saying to you the big decision will be whether or not he is staying if they get relegated.

“No, he is not coming back by virtue of what’s going on, no.”
