Alex in total shock after Collins Khoza dies in the hands of alleged SANDF : on Friday 10th April at Far east bank, Alexandra Township, this is where Collins and his family was assaulted in their own home for having alcohol which they claim was bought before the Lockdown and was followed by heavy brutality.

According to eye witnesses

Three (3) soldiers forcefully entered Collin’s home together with his friend Thabiso Muvhango accusing them of violating the Covid-19-related national lockdown rules. The soldier then exchanged heavy words with Collin and his wife stating that they want to set an example with them.

The deceased friend explains

Thabiso said when Khoza’s wife intervened, the soldiers slapped her in the face and accused her of also having an attitude. They allegedly took the alcohol to the street, ordered the two men to wait outside and called for a backup.

Thabiso said six cars belonging to the police, SANDF and JMPD, without asking questions, three other soldiers joined in and started pouring alcohol all over the men’s bodies. They then allegedly forced two other eyewitnesses who filmed the incident with cellphones to delete the video.

The neighbour said from where he was, he could see the soldiers manhandling Khoza and said that they were beating everyone who was shooting a video. Collins ran to the house and they kicked the door open and took him back outside. They also whipped his wife with a sjambok saying she insulted them.

The mood in Alexandra since the incident

Collins died on Saturday the 11th April at 1am and this has brought to nine people allegedly killed by the police and soldiers during the national Lockdown announced by President Cyril Ramaphosa last month.

Pictures on social media showing how residents are being punished over buying essential goods – this evidently shows that the Soldiers must have missed the memo on how to conduct their deployment.

There is a short video clip clearly showing the soldiers attacking Khoza, whereby his white T-shirt had turned red from bleeding. Collins Khoza’s family and the Alexandra citizens are in total shock and furious and seek intervention from the government.

Do you think that the SANDF are conducting their deployment accordingly ?
