“I think Ronaldinho’s generation was a very interesting one because it was the first generation of the modern football “star”. His playing style of course played into this big time, if not simply down to its pure entertainment value. The way he played was certainly unique, and its definitely inspired a generation of Brazilians to come, with the likes of Coutinho, Neymar, and Douglas Costa all citing him as an inspiration for the way they play. If Id say anything about the way Ronaldinho played however, was the sheer volume of his play that was based off his technical ability and not coached tactical awareness. In the modern game I think players are often over-coached, turned into almost robot like players in order to maintain their maximum efficiency, but Ronaldinho had none of that. Sure, He was playing for some pretty good teams by a fairly young age, but he never really lost his “jinga” style of playing, no matter what coaches tried to tell him. In a way, his lack of attention to what his bosses had to tell him was made him so great, so unpredictable and at times untouchable on the pitch. When he was at his peak, Ronaldinho was practically unplayable; he was for one point playing in such a way that no matter what the quality of the opposing defenders were, they always left the pitch utterly embarrassed. Of course, Ronaldinho’s lack of commitment to professionalism was ultimately his downfall, but for a while, it was what made him so staggeringly brilliant.”
Sometimes I like to describe Ronaldinho as the ‘football master ’ ,the guy is just out of this world, mark my words: World Football will not be able to create another. The reason why we say that Ronaldinho is South African is that his style of play is a South African style but we do not mean that is South African by nationality. . South Africa as a country they play entertaining football .
Do you think Ronaldinho’s style is the best if it comes to entertainment ?
