Shepherd Bushiri and his wife have been released. Mr. Bushiri and his wife were arrested on Wednesday in the capital of Maliwi. Bushiri’s lawyer Wapona Kita asked the court to release them because they were arrested illegally.
The South African government has demanded the couple’s extradition after they skipped bail.
The couple have questions to answer in South Africa the questions are connected to money laundering and fraud.
A magistrate has ordered the seizure of Bushiri’s 5.5 million house which is near the South African capital Pretoria.
