The Queen’s producers explains why actors are being fired – The telenovela’s fans have been appalled over the last few months over actors being fired sequentially and this left fans with questions about why so many people seem to have left their favourite show under such shady circumstances.
Among The actors that have left the show in recent months are :
- child-star-turned-actress Khanya Mkangisa who played Akhona
- Moshe Ndiki who played Prince
- Khayakazi Kula who played Martha
- Motsoaledi ‘Mo’ Setumo who played Mmabatho
- And Rami Chuene who played Gracious ‘Tgom’ Mabuza
Some fans took to social media that they would rather go back to what they used to watch at 21h00 weekdays.
the show’s producers together with their principal actor, Themba Ndaba, who plays Brutus Khoza were In a recent Instagram Live stream and one of the fans who was watching the live stream commented “why do you keep firing people?”
That question was finally answered
Connie began by saying “Guys, this is a soap, it’s a telenovela, okay? Characters come and go. That’s how soap operates” .
“It’s for story. Sometimes… to introduce another story but characters come and go. This is not something that is exclusive to The Queen or exclusive to Rockville or exclusive to Isibaya. It happens everywhere all the time,” she added before her husband said “It is what it is. I hope you’re answered.”
“I think that’s what people don’t know. The reality of what we do is ‘you are going to see new people in and out.’ It’s the nature of storytelling,” Shona added.
On the bright side rumour has it, Shaka ‘SK’ Khoza was among the first to leave and will make a come back for season five as new additions Jessica Nkosi and Menzi Ngubane joins the cast.
