The first South African player to test positive for COVID-19 Revealed . Ever since the Coronavirus tragedy started there have been no cases or any report involving Soccer stars from South Africa but now we received a confirmed case of one of Portugal based South African 21-year-old Sithole.

“We inform that, in the context of the preparation for the resumption of work, a player from the under-23 team of Belenenses SAD has had a positive result in the Covid-19 detection test,” the official statement read.
“The protocols developed for this purpose are being observed and we hope for a quick recovery of the player, who had no symptoms of the disease.”
It is said that the club did not mention the footballer’s name but the news paper called A Bola did mention that Sphephelo Sithole is the one .
A Bola statement goes like this “
O Belenenses informou ao início da tarde de ontem, através de comunicado, que, «no contexto da preparação da retoma dos trabalhos, um jogador da equipa de sub-23 teve resultado positivo no teste de deteção da Covid-19».
