Samir Nurkovic was attacked on Christmas day. While other fans of Amakosi are waiting to see their goal poacher back in action, on the other side the player’s life is getting complicated. Every player deserve to be happy especially top players like Samir Nurkovic. We are all aware that Samir is fit and we just wonder why he is not playing.
“If a player has been promised something by another team, he will not go all out you see,” Radebe tells KickOff.com.
“If they decide to keep him he might complain about ‘injuries’ and tomorrow with this and that, he will always have reasons. You see if the offer is right and he has been promised money, then the player will not give you anything this season.
“Because he is saving himself for next season so he can leave without injuries or anything. He will be saving himself for next season.
“But if he’s a professional and if they agreed to something, I think there won’t be that much of a stress, he will deliver and do his job as normal. But there are very few players like that.
“But I think he understands Chiefs’ situation that I will not just leave them like that you know. To see him staying, it’s the right thing, because the team is struggling as you can see. I like him because he wants to win every game, he hates losing.”
“He is training,” Hunt told reporters after Wednesday’s game, “so hopefully we can get him on the field in the new year. I hope so because I think he would have had a few (goals) by now. Last season when Chiefs started so well the goals came from him, we need that.”
“I think the biggest thing is the attitude (improvement),” said Hunt.
“We were in a unique situation, it was the same for everyone with the (COVID-19) epidemic, but with them (my squad), to come so close (to the title) and lose, it was a bit of a shock for everyone. It took time for them to get their heads around it. And there were no ins and outs in terms of transfers (Chiefs are serving a Fifa transfer ban), you could have freshened the place up very quickly.
“But you can see (improvement), (at the start) when I looked through them you could see through their heads and out the back. Now we are at least seeing matter, it is coming slowly. Wins help, they haven’t happened but we are certainly playing better.”
Some people on social media they started to attack the player saying that he is forcing Kaizer Chiefs to release him. They do not understand the situation , Samir is a very good player and he never disappointed the club but the attacks we believe are not fair to the player.
Junior Khanyer’s thoughts
“I know for Kaizer Chiefs it’s difficult to sign, but I would love Santa to restructure the whole system from the technical team, coaches, staff… restructure the whole development structure and appoint knowledgeable scouts,” Khanye tells KickOff.com.
“If they can only leave Khama Billiat, Itumeleng Khune, [Nkosingiphile] Ngcobo and Reeve Frosler, that’s all. I respect Bra K [Chiefs chairman Kaizer Motaung], but if they can appoint new people who are knowledgeable.
“I would love to advise these club chairmen when they appoint coaches, they should give these jobs to coaches who are knowledgeable. Santa, I would love to see ‘Dan Dance’ coach again, I would love to see [Lehlohonolo] Seema coach again, I would love to see Eric Tinkler coach again.
“I’m talking about high-class coaches who are available and without teams. Most chairmen in football, they are not patient, and the understanding is not enough. I would love to see Eric Tinkler being appointed and coaching at Kaizer Chiefs and restructuring the whole technical team.
“I wish Orlando Pirates can get a very good coach. The team is grand it just needs a very good coach that is knowledgeable. [Josef] Zinnbauer is not okay bro. He is doing a lot of mistakes.
“Mamelodi Sundowns, because Chiefs didn’t appoint him I would have loved seeing Eric Tinkler to go there. Tinkler coached Pirates, it’s a pity he won nothing but you saw him taking them to the Confederation Cup final playing good football. So I would love seeing Tinkler becoming a head coach there. I love these three coaches at Sundowns but they mustn’t disappoint us by fixing what is not broken.
“With Cape Town City I’m very disappointed, I don’t understand why their coach is still there. I don’t know why they let Benni McCarthy go. I don’t know why they are still keeping that guy [Jan Olde Riekerink]. The guy doesn’t improve, the team is still playing the same way like last season. Pound for pound they can match the likes of Pirates, Sundowns but I believe that coach, there’s nothing special about him. I’m sure this team can compete with anyone.
“TTM they’ve got a very good coach but the thing is the owner. How can the PSL allow him to buy a team while owing salaries to 14 players in the GladAfrica Championship? In Joel Masutha they’ve got a good coach but with an owner that doesn’t understand the game. I’m very disappointed, I don’t know how the PSL can allow that guy to buy a team while owing 14 players in the GladAfrica Championship. Look at how they are running that team. Sooner or later that team will be sold.
“As for Maritzburg United I don’t understand them sacking Eric Tinkler, he got there and saved them from relegation. They let go of good players each and every year without filling the gap. What are they trying to achieve? So I’m very disappointed with their technical team. They brought back someone who left them in the relegation zone, Ernst Middendorp, a coach who has never succeeded in South Africa, who doesn’t have a football clue. Kaizer Chiefs last season, he let go of the league title after leading with about 13 points. You bring back someone like that while you’ve got Eric Tinkler? What are you trying to achieve?”
Do you think Samir will leave the club ?
