Itumeleng Khune’s problems are not yet over. There is something going on in Khune’s life . He costed the team again but what can we say? Gavin Hunt tried to give Itumeleng Khune another chance after two months break but Khune showed that he is not yet ready.
I think the problem was discovered long time ago by coach Ernest Middendorp but people thought that maybe the coach did not like him. To be honest a good player can make a bad coach good so there is no way a coach cannot play a good player.
Khune might be facing some personal issues which we all do not know we only have to be patient because we really know his quality. You can ask why coaches play him yet they know that he is not okay ? The answer is external pressure from the fans. Fans are the ones causing the coaches to put him and see if he can perform.
“No, it’s obviously been happening to us pretty much all season – guys breaking down in the first 10-15 minutes, and it’s crazy but I mean it’s just one of those things,” explained Hunt in his virtual post-match press conference.
Itumeleng Khune’s problems are not yet over
“With the goalkeeping [decision to bring Khune in], it’s been a problem so I thought it’s possibly the right time to bring him back and try.
“On the other one, he [Manyama] certainly wasn’t getting enough out of that position so we made the change, and then Mshini did very well – he made the pass that got us a goal, which proved was right [Ed’s note: Castro replaced Manyama and scored the penalty].
“Ja, it just happens in the course of the game.”
Do you think Khune should be given another chance
