Mabhuti Khanyeza has been appointed as head coach of TS Galaxy. This is amazing because now local teams have started trusting young local coaches . If this can be done for 10 years , in the near future South Africa’s big teams like Orland Pirates Kaizer Chiefs and many more will be dominated by local coaches .
“Pressure is a medicine to me, I love pressure, I can work under pressure, I’m here to plant a seed, make better players and leave a legacy,” he said in accepting his role at TS Galaxy.
Khanyeza is expected to
Be the contact between the team and the club
Manage
all team personnel and communication issues, including obtaining all
information from the club and distributing information to players; and
Manage player and team and administrative matters so the coach is free to concentrate solely on training and coaching the team
Form team lists with contact details and distribute to the team
Advise the Registrar of any corrections or changes to team lists
Get Fixtures and Field location information to parents
Organise orange roster for half-time
Organise duty roster and ensure parents are available on roster for BBQ or Canteen
Manager should be aware of any special medication needs of players
Whilst not compulsory, many managers organise the end of season gift of appreciation for the coach.
