AKA shot dead in drive-by shooting on Durban’s Florida Road.
South African Durban – Police sources in kzn have confirmed the singer Kiernan ‘AKA’ Forbes was shot dead in a drive-by shooting on Florida Road on Friday night.
Another person believed to be AKA’s bodyguard, was also wounded, while another unidentified person, who is understood to be a close friend of AKA, has been shot dead.
Paramedic Garrith Jamieson told TimesLIVE that the shooting occurred just after 10:15 p.m. local time and that, upon arriving, “paramedics met total chaos and a scene where two men, believed to be in their late 30s, sustained multiple gunshot wounds.”
“Paramedics assisted the men and unfortunately the first male had sustained multiple gun shot wounds and showed no signs of life and was declared deceased at the scene,” he added.
