The 19 year old Hudson-Odoi of Chelsea who plays as a winger has become the first English Premier League player to test positive for coronavirus. Chelsea has a game with Aston Villa and there is no decision made yet by the Premier League authorities to postpone the game . But the game between Arsenal and Brighton on Saturday has been postponed.
The English Premier League will hold a quick meeting on Friday to discuss how the fixture are going to be maintained in this unique bad situation which has left thousands of people dead across the world .
Whatever decision which will be taken by the Premier League shall be respected by all the clubs and the British Government will be informed also to avoid confusion .
Hudson-Odoi displayed symptoms , that is why he stayed away from the Chelsea training ground to avoid spreading the virus to other club members .
Hudson-Odoi said on Twitter “As you may be aware I had the virus for the last couple of days which I have recovered from.
“I am following the health guidelines and self-isolating myself from everybody for the week. I hope to see everybody soon and hopefully will be back on the pitch very soon.”
