Pule Ekstein is a free agent after coming back to South Africa. I personal met Pule Ekstein at Vodaworld in Midrand this year before he left Kiazer Chiefs . Pule Ekstein is a very friendly and kind person with a great personality , everyone was taking pictures with him. Also Siphelele Ntshangase was present but he seemed to not get involved much with people I think he is a bit shy . Pule was made a referee that day when Vodacom employees and Vodacom Contractors were playing against each other. Most players like Billiat Khama and many more did not attend because they were busy playing for their national teams .
On 28 June 2019, Ekstein signed a two-year contract with Azerbaijan Premier League side Sabah FC. On 23 December 2019, Ekstein left Sabah by mutual consent. Sabah Football Club is an Azerbaijani professional football club based in Masazır. The team plays in the Azerbaijan Premier League, their top tier of Azerbaijani football.
