These friendly encounters are part of Bafana Bafana’s preparations for the Africa Cup of Nations in Côte d’Ivoire, set to take place in January next year. The squad is entering these matches on a high note, having remained unbeaten in their last seven matches, with their most recent fixture being a 2-1 Afcon qualifier against Morocco in June. South Africa is set to host Namibia on September 9, 2023, followed by a clash against DR Congo on September 12. The specific venues for these matches will be confirmed in the coming days.
