The ghost did not allow us to score Pitso Mosimane claimed :
“Yah Difficult on the results only not on the game .we came here we played as usual , not happy
because it is my first defeat here in 7 years , I thought I will keep
the results the way they have been good , but it is okay . Denis was just still on Christmas break . But yah we came we played we controlled the game we took the game to them , we
showed we are the championship team ,First 5 10 minutes the ghost did not allow us to score tonight
the ghost was everything even the balls went there they cleared off the lines . We hit the post there we hit the post once twice and the ghost took the ball out. I meanreally what else can you do “ Pitso said
It is very difficult for Pitso Mosimane to accept a defeat, he will at least attach it to an excuse which sometimes happen to not make sense to some people . I watched the game yesterday night which started at 19:30 South African time and it is true with in 5 to 10 minutes Sundowns dominated the game I even thought they were going to win it at least 2 – 0 . But as you know in soccer things can just change after seconds .
But it was a deserved win for the hosts, who had the better chances in a tight game at Orlando Stadium .
After a high-tempo start, the game settled down – but Mhango , produced the one moment of quality to seal victory, rolling back the years with a clever finish.
It is a tough period for many clubs in the Premier Soccer League with games in multiple competitions coming thick and fast. With his side facing tough games , Pitso may have been forgiven for substituting Andile Jali who was booked with a yellow and he did not want to play one man down , so that was a smart move.
Do you think Orlando Pirates Deserved their win ?
Phumlani : Andile Jali ?
Pitso : No, I don’t want to play 10 against 11
