Colombian Striker Jasond Gonzales at Kaizer Chiefs’ Training Facility with Questions Looming.

Jasond Gonzales, the new face at Kaizer Chiefs, has arrived at Naturena, but fans should temper their excitement for an immediate debut. Although the Colombian striker’s arrival has ignited hopes of a goal-scoring solution, it’s clear that he won’t be stepping onto the field right away.

Chiefs’ coach, Molefi Ntseki, provided some insights, suggesting that Gonzales might face challenges adjusting due to the time zone difference, possibly experiencing jet lag. Furthermore, there’s the bureaucratic paperwork that the team management is diligently working through. Once all these logistical details are sorted, Gonzales can finally set foot on the training ground and begin making his impact on the pitch.

Ntseki explained, “The new player coming in, there’s still an issue with paperwork, we will be advised by the office if the player is ready and available for selection.”

In other updates, Keagan Dolly, a familiar face on the team, is back in action after recovering from an injury he sustained last season. He’s diligently training and preparing to bring his magic back to the team soon.

However, not all news is rosy. Ranga Chivaviro, who left the pitch with a thigh strain during the showdown with TS Galaxy last weekend, is currently on a rehabilitation plan and may return in a few weeks. Additionally, Edmilson Dove has just started training this week.

Ntseki expressed, “We still have some long-term injuries… I think you saw Ranga leaving the field very early against TS Galaxy. He’s going to a rehab of some kind. So in the next two weeks he’ll be available for selection.”

Keagan Dolly’s return brings much-needed experience to the team, which could prove vital.

Chiefs have faced a rocky start to the season with one win, two losses, and a draw in four games. It’s not the dream start they had hoped for. As they prepare for a match against AmaZulu FC in the DStv Premiership on Saturday, Chiefs are gearing up for a battle to change their fortunes.

It will be intriguing to see if Dolly’s return and the team’s hard work can shift the momentum and put them back on the path to victory.
