Description
The Air Spring Supply Company is looking for an External sales representative in Johannesburg to be responsible for generating leads and meeting sales goals for our 4×4 division. Duties will include sales presentations and product demonstrations, as well as negotiating contracts with potential clients. In order to be successful in this role, you will need to have a deep understanding of the sales process and dynamics, and also superb interpersonal skills.
- Sales Representative Responsibilities:
- Proven experience as an External Sales Executive.
- Technical drawing, suspension or mechanical experience would be an advantage.
- Have an understanding of 4×4 vehicles and 4×4 accessories.
- Understanding of sales principles and ability to deliver excellent customer service.
- Effective presentation and negotiation skills.
- High degree of professionalism.
- Good time-management skills with a problem-solving attitude.
- Provide after-sales support to retain customers.
- Build strong client relationships, through regular communication.
- Suggest company products/services that maximize client satisfaction.
- Coordinate with Account Executives and Account Managers to create customized sales plans for key clients.
- Promote new products/services to existing customers.
- Must be able to work under pressure and pay attention to detail.
- Core responsibility would be to cultivate new business.
- Must be well spoken and professional.
- Must be able to speak, read and write in English and Afrikaans.
- Preferably between the ages of 25-40 years.
- Self-motivated with a results-driven approach.
- Conduct market research to identify selling possibilities and evaluate customer needs.
- Actively seek out new sales opportunities through cold calling, networking and social media.
- Prepare and deliver appropriate presentations on products and services..
- Ensure the availability of stock for sales and demonstrations.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve better results.
- Gather feedback from customers or prospects and share with sales teams and management.
- Fast learner and have good problem solving skills.
- Customer service specialist and target driven essential.
- Must be computer literate, email / word / excel and needs to be able to spell.
- Experience in Pastel would be an advantage.
- Must have a matric certificate.
- Driver’s license (08)
- Must be credit clear, no ITC problems or Judgements, no criminal record.
- Must be independent and an extrovert.
- Preferably lives in the Boksburg, Kempton Park, Edenvale, Benoni areas.

- The company does pay a 13Th cheque in December and Profit share annually based on individual and company performance. ( To be discussed )

Office hours are Monday to Friday 07:30 to 16:30 – Employee is required to be at the office 20 mins earlier.
