Nandipha, Partner of Bester, Reverses Course!
Dr. Nandipha Magudumana’s Bail Application Set for August 29th in Bloemfontein Magistrates Court
Dr. Nandipha Magudumana is scheduled to make a court appearance on Tuesday, August 29th, at the Bloemfontein Magistrates Court for a formal bail application. This development comes after she had previously reserved her right to apply for bail back in June.
The case involves Magudumana and her boyfriend, Thabo Bester, who had mysteriously escaped from the Mangaung Correctional Centre in the Free State in May 2022. National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) spokesman Phaladi Shuping has confirmed that Magudumana will indeed apply for bail, and the state is prepared to oppose her application.
Among the 12 individuals implicated in aiding the convicted rapist and murderer Bester in his escape from prison, Magudumana is one of the accused. Notably, all the other accused, with the exception of Magudumana, Bester, and Zimbabwean foreign national Zanda Moyo, have been granted bail.
