United States of America will be punished by Iran if they trouble Venezuela-bound ships . Iran sent five tankers carrying fuel to Venezuelaand they are approaching the Caribbean as we speak . There are many chances that the United States might try to intercept the tankers as it did last year, but this time Iran warned them in advance . Venezuela’s defense minister said Wednesday that planes and ships from the nation’s armed forces will escort Iranian tankers arriving with fuel to the gasoline-starved country in case of any U.S. aggression.
“If our tankers in the Caribbean or anywhere in the world face trouble caused by the Americans, they [the US] will also be in trouble,” Rouhani said in a telephone conversation with Qatar’s Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani , the semi-official news agency Mehr reported.
“Iran will never initiate a conflict,” Rouhani said. “We have always the legitimate right to defend our sovereignty and territorial integrity and to serve our national interests, and we hope that the Americans will not commit an error.”
“Forbidding those boats from reaching their destination would thus constitute a crime against humanity,” Moncada said at a U.N. Security Council meeting to discuss recent turmoil in Venezuela.
